Meet Olga Kachirski, RMHCI
Olga Kachirski is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) who began her professional life as an engineer in Russia. During that time, she observed the various ways her colleagues approached new challenges and noticed how they talked to themselves affected how they felt and interacted with others. This realization led her to discover her life’s purpose—helping others better understand themselves, improve their relationships and feel confident in their decisions.
Olga refocused her career to align with her life’s purpose by completing her master’s degree in counseling at the University of Central Florida. She integrates theories such as mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Additionally, she emphasizes the power of relationships and the importance of self-care. According to Olga, self-care is at the core of our ability to help others and live fulfilling lives.
She is keen on integrating evidence-based practices, while also creating a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, and develop effective coping strategies. Through compassion and empathy, she helps her clients cope with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions such as immigrating and parenting.
Olga places great emphasis on helping others connect with their higher purpose and values, just as she found her purpose as a parent and therapist. She understands the difficulty and importance of living according to one’s values and taking steps toward making important life changes. Olga believes the journey is easier when there is clarity around one’s higher purpose, aided by a professional to help guide you through tough transitions.
